Furniture bar stools these days come in all sizes, colors, decorating styles and shapes. Before you go out and buy a set of stools, there are some things you need to consider. The first thing to consider is the decor of the room you're planning to add them to. A down home style room would work well with natural woods and lines. If they're going to be used at a kitchen or basement bar, you may consider the swivel models over the stationary ones.

Everything matches with it, so you can't go wrong with choosing white. Of course, the biggest drawback is keeping it clean. You have to be extra careful, so if you have small children, this might not be the type of bar stool you want. But, at the same time, they do come in plastic which is a lot easier to keep clean than vinyl.

Red Bar Stools: While white is probably the most popular color of furniture bar stools, nothing lights up a room like red bar stools. It is a color that has to be chosen carefully, though. There are so many different shades of red that not every room can be decorated with them. Red doesn't match well with some colors, so keep that in mind when you're thinking of purchasing them. They do have the advantage of being able to be kept cleaner than the white ones, though.
